SATUTE
Mobile broadband and satellite connectivity for your most remote projects
Introducing a groundbreaking solution, tailor-made for Australia’s rugged environment and the most remote conditions… Lewis Woolcott’s SATUTE is your go-to solution for staying connected and safe, wherever your site is in Australia.
Virtual exclusion zones
SATUTE, paired with SMART technology helps protect cultural heritage sites, by allowing virtual exclusion zones to be created. This advanced tech combo means that even remote cultural heritage sites, which are heavily populated by the mining, infrastructure, and resource sectors, can have access to reliable and efficient communication, whilst remaining protected.
Say connected in the most remote parts of the country
With a large portion of the country still excluded from any form of telecommunications or mobile broadband, communication, connectivity, and resource safety solutions are problem areas in many locations.
Lewis Woolcott’s SATUTE offers a unique solution to these remote Australian locations. SATUTE enables data connectivity and enhanced resource safety outside of established communication networks. Giving you full access to technology, from the furthest reaches of Australia.
Giving remote locations access to SMART resource tracking technology
Lewis Woolcott’s SATUTE provides anywhere, anytime connectivity to Australian projects and sites, enabling technology solutions that were previously inaccessible from the outskirts.
SATUTE can be paired with Lewis Woolcott’s groundbreaking SMART (Site Mapping and Resource Tracking) software and devices, to provide a complete birds-eye-view of personnel and plant movements, in real-time, via GPS tracking and heat-mapping.
SMART+SATUTE:Where no other GPS tracking has been before
SMART Software allows improved efficiencies and complete clarity and oversight. You can watch events as they unfold, record movement on site, playback in time-lapse, generate reports and analytics, and even get alerted when productivity falls.
SATUTE’s anywhere-anytime remote mobile connectivity enables this technology for projects in even the most far-reaching corners of Australia. The SATUTE’s unique delivery and housing means it can also withstand the most rugged Australian conditions.

How it works
SATUTE works by using IoT (Internet of Things) devices and a long-range, wide-area network (LoRaWAN) to enable full communication capabilities.
Featuring a self-aligning VSAT, LoRaWAN gateway, Firewall, and Wi-Fi access point, you’ll have all the communication tools you need to stay connected, no matter where you are in Australia.
The SATUTE’s equipment network runs on a mix of lithium batteries, solar panels, and the vehicle’s alternator. The batteries and solar panels can keep the system running for at least two days, even if it’s cloudy and the solar panels can’t fully charge the batteries. Whenever the batteries need more charging than solar conditions allow, the system can use power from the vehicle’s alternator.
The SATUTE provides full connectivity, at 10 mbps downstream/3mbps upstream, within a 70-metre radius, while a LoRaWAN network provides a further 2km radius for the GPS tracking devices. Base control, and the team leader in the SATUTE can all have full visibility of field technicians via the SMART portal, accessible through a laptop or iPad.
The origin story of SATUTE
The SATUTE is a brand new solution developed by Lewis Woolcott.
As industry leaders, with a team of experts with experience spanning across the project management and resources sector, we created the SATUTE to solve the biggest problems faced by remote sites; their technological remoteness.
Paired with SMART technology, SATUTE allows even the most remote of sites to access real time resource tracking and data capturing, which will improve efficiency and productivity of projects and work on sites.
